THE TELL-TALE PROGRESSIVE DINNER GAME

I bet you have a few stories you could tell about crazy, funny, scary, or strange things that have happened to you in your life!  If not, you can always make them up... it's all part of the game!  Explore a variety of restaurants along Melbourne's food-famous Lygon St, and make friends with a colorful and varied group of friendly, single bohemians

START VENUE:  Carlton Yacht Club, 298 Lygon Street CARLTON VIC

  • HOW IT WORKS:

    • Everyone meets at Carlton Yacht Club at 7pm

    • When you arrive, you will form a team of 3 and be given a dinner schedule that will take you and your team to one venue for entree, another for main, and a third for dessert.  Teams are all ladies or all gentlemen.

    • Everyone puts a few dollars into the prize hat. (just $2-$5 each)

    • At each course, you will meet up with another group (of the opposite gender).  Once you have ordered your food, you will play a round of the Tell-Tale Game!

This is how the game works:

      - Each of you will take a turn to tell a little story about something that has happened to you in your life. You will tell either a true story or made-up story! (Stories must not be partially true -they must be the total truth or a total lie. )

      - Once you have told your story, the other team can ask three questions, then must guess as a team if you are lying or telling the truth.

      -  If they guess wrong you get two points.  If they guess right, they get one point.  If all three of your team members manage to fool the other team, your team gets an additional point for that round.

    • After the final course, everyone meets back at Carlton Yacht Club for a drink and an opportunity to meet with the people you didn't meet during dinner.

    • The team with the most points gets the prize hat!

    • If there is a tie, one member from each team must tell a made-up story to the judges.  The judges will pick a winner based on who's fabrication is most convincing.

TICKETS:  $55 - but you get $45 back in cash when you arrive to spend on food and drinks.  Why do we do this?  1) To minimize no-shows.   2) So that everyone has cash to make it easier to split bills.

"LITTLE PIECES OF ME": A Social Friending Game

Each of us are made up of all the billions of moments we have experienced through our lives.  Everything you have ever experienced becomes a little piece of who you are.  In this delightful little social cocktail party game, we explore each other through the sharing of our special little "moments".

VENUE: Ferdydurke, Level 1 and 2, 239 Lonsdale Street , Melbourne

HOW IT WORKS:

1) CREATE YOUR "MOMENT CARDS"

When you arrive, you will be given a pen and five little cards.  On each card, you will write a short statement which describes a humorous, dramatic, pivotal, or profound moment from your life.  The moment should be a little piece of a bigger story.

Examples of Moments:

"I found myself standing in the rain, covered in mud, balling my eyes out!"

"As I stood waiting in line to board the plane, I could barely contain my excitement"

"I looked him right in the eye and told him straight out that he was not only unprofessional, he was a total, unethical arsehole and should be ashamed of himself."

"I looked back down the mountain and couldn't believe how high we had climbed.  Despite the exhaustion, the feeling of achievement made me feel as light as a feather"

"I felt giddy as I stepped up onto the stage to receive my award.  I felt so proud and honoured"

2) HAND YOUR CARDS IN TO MIRIAM & SHE WILL DISTRIBUTE THEM

3) FIND THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE YOUR MOMENT CARDS (Seek out the 'little pieces of you')

ROUGE, ROUGE: A Super Sexy Night of Tease & Please!

Beautiful male and female erotic entertainment, risque fancy dress, devilish social activities, and an amateur strip-tease showcase featuring YOU!  And ME!  And that guy over there in the corner....  Don't miss this WILD event!

VENUE: Moser Room, 386 Chapel St, South Yarra

**RED EVENT!**

THE BURLESQUE
Our super sensual burlesque, brought to you by Sophie DeLightful, the wild child of Melbourne cabaret, is guaranteed to get your blood rushing to all the right places!

ACTIVITIES
Seating is cabaret style.  After each act, you will be given a Kama Sutra card and asked to find the other person in the room who has the same card as you.  When you find them you will complete a cheeky activity together and sit together with another pair for the next act.  Activities will allow you to participate at your own level of wild.

AMATEUR STRIP-TEASE SHOWCASE!!
Sign up to storm the runway stage and be part of this crazy daring activity!  Plan something or just jump up and improvise.  Do a whole song or just go until you run out of steam.  Strip down to your underwear or nude.  Go it solo, or jump up with a friend.  You don't need to be good, in fact, it's WAY more fun if you're not!  Dance or do a funny scene to music which involves taking off your clothes (e.g. taking a shower, getting ready for bed, working out and getting too hot). Be creative and silly! Incorporate whatever type of movement you are used to.  (e.g. do a scene or dance routine that includes yoga moves, footy warmups, etc)  Do a group dance like the Nutbush and turn it into a strip tease. Anything goes!

TIPS:
- Slow it down.  Remember to take time to pose.
- Use props.
- Pull someone up on stage for a bit of a lap-dance

Our brave leader, Miriam, promises to lead by example with an interpretive dance piece to a death metal song.  It's going to be absolutely ridiculous!

NO PHOTOS - What happens at this event STAYS at this event!

FANCY DRESS:  FORMAL BEDROOM-WARE
What on earth is formal bedrooom-ware???  It's boxers with a bow tie, a naughty nighty with a feather boa, y-fronts with a satin vest, a lacy bra and undies set with high heeled shoes and fancy jewellery...  Basically, your task is to create an outfit using underwear and accessories.  If there are bits and pieces of your body you'd rather "leave to the imagination", remember that there are always things like corsets, wraps, scarves, camisoles, and singlets that cover the bits you want covered but still allow you to be super sexy.

No costume?  No entry.  We feel this is only fair -  If you don't show me your sexy outfit, I don't want to show you mine.  And YES, you ARE sexy, and everyone DOES want to see it!!

THE VENUE WILL BE WELL HEATED & YOU CAN CHANGE WHEN YOU GET THERE.

THE VENUE:

The Moser Room is plush, decadent setting with red velvet curtains, plush couches, and elegant decor.

TICKETS: $70
This includes: - A cocktail on arrival PLUS
- A standard drink (wine, beer, basic spirit)

I bet you have a few stories you could tell about crazy, funny, scary, or strange things that have happened to you in your life!  If not, you can always make them up... it's all part of the game!  Explore a variety of restaurants around Brunswick St, and make friends with a colorful and varied group of friendly, single bohemians.

STAR VENUE:  Polly Cocktail Bar, 401 Brunswick St, Fitzroy

HOW IT WORKS:

• Everyone meets at Polly Cocktail Bar at 7pm

• After the final course, everyone meets back at Polly Cocktail Bar for a drink and an opportunity to meet with the people you didn't meet during dinner.

DRESS
Come dressed as a rejected Valentine! Tear-smudged make-up, that awkward Hawaiian shirt that you know now was a BAD choice, or that overly slutty dress that just screams desperation...  The bra strap fallen down, the miss-buttoned shirt, the hair you forgot to brush, that thing you didn't know was stuck between your teeth... come dressed as a sad, rejected post-valentine desperado.

THECABARET: PRESENTED BY SOPHIE deLIGHTFUL

Sophie deLightful first dipped her stilettoed toe into the burlesque scene six years ago in London where she competed and performed in a range of competitions and showcases, quickly attracting feature gigs at a variety of venues around the iconic city.  Back in Australia, Sophie has continued her career as a cabaret performer, producing and starring in various productions including: “Supa SnH Plus Liqour”, “Clause & Effect: A Christmas Obsession” , and Childhood Dreams & Fairytale Queens”  which went on to tour through Sydney and Canberra.

THE SECRET MISSION GAME! A Bohemian "Snow-Balling" Adventure!

Come on a wacky night out along funky Brunswick Street (and beyond) with a crazy bunch of bohemians!  Explore quirky venues, complete fun challenges, and make new friends as your group grows larger and larger at each stop!

For those who know our events, this event is a cross between The Spice of Life Progressive Dinner and a Scavenger Hunt...but with it's own little unique twist....

HOW IT WORKS:

-  Everyone meets at Polly Cocktail bar at 7pm.  Everyone is given a mission schedule.

-  ROUND 1) At 7pm, everyone sets off to meet one other person at your first secret location.  Together, you must complete your first challenge!

-  ROUND 2) At the end of round one, you and your partner set out to your second location together to meet up with another pair.  You must complete the second challenge as a group of 4.

-  ROUND 3) At the end of round two, your group of 4 sets out to your third location to meet up with another group of 4.  You must complete the third challenge as a group of 8.

-  ROUND 4) At the end of round 3, your group of 8 sets out to your fourth location to meet another group of 8.  You must complete the fourth challenge as a group of 16!

- ROUND 5)  At the end of round 4, your group of 16 set out to the final location to meet up with the other group of 16.

TICKETS:  $55 - but you get $45 back in cash when you arrive to spend on food and drinks.  Why do we do this?  1) To minimize no-shows.   2) So that everyone has cash to make it easier to split bills and pay for things along the way.

TICKETS MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED ONLINE (you can't purchase tickets at the door on the night)

THE SPICE OF LIFE: Bohemian Singles Progressive Dinner Friending Game

How often do we come to conclusions about people based on superficial basics such as age, appearance and profession?  THE SPICE OF LIFE dinner game is aimed at helping us move passed preconceived ideas about each other by challenging us to reveal strange, unusual, or unexpected secrets with each other. Come on a singles friendingfoodie adventure down Melbourne's famous Hardware Lane.  Explore a variety of bars/ restaurants and make friends with a colorful and varied group of friendly single bohemians.  All ages,  all backgrounds....variety is the spice of life!

HOW IT WORKS:
Everyone meets at The Golden Monkey at 7pm

When you arrive, you are given your own personal dinner schedule that will take you to one venue for entree, another for main, and a third for dessert.

Each course comes with a different set of dinner partners (2 men, 2 women) and a question that asks you to reveal a secret or unusual fact about yourself.  What is said at the dinner table STAYS AT THE DINNER TABLE.

Meet back at the Golden Monkey after dinner for a drink and an opportunity to meet with the people you didn't meet during dinner.

TICKETS:  $55 - but you get $45 back in cash when you arrive to spend on food and drinks.  Why do we do this?  1) To minimize no-shows.   2) So that everyone has cash to make it easier to split bills.
